Speed profiles, scenarios, and replays
Shaping how a run changes over time instead of holding one speed.
Speed profiles
A profile is a list of stages, each with a length in minutes and a speed at the start and at the end. The same speed at both ends holds it, different speeds ramp smoothly between them, and a speed of zero stands still.
When the last stage finishes, a run can stop, start again from the top, or hold the last speed.
The scenario library
The library is a set of ready made profiles for common shapes, like a steady hour, intervals, a slow ramp over two hours, or short errands around the clock.
Picking one fills in the profile above, turns it on, switches off any replay, and saves right away, so you can adjust it afterwards.
Replaying a recorded walk
Upload a walk you recorded and runs follow its pace, second by second. GPX tracks work, and so does a CSV or a JSON list with a seconds column plus either kmh or a distance in metres.
GPX points with no times are walked at the session speed. The speed setting plays the recording faster or slower, as a percent of the original.
What takes over what
A replay that is switched on takes over from the speed profile, and both take over from the schedule or the session speed. Dead hours and your speed limits still apply on top of whatever is driving the pace.
