Activity sessions and naming
Getting runs to show up nicely in the Fit app, and the words that fill themselves in.
Wrapping a run
Google keeps every point you upload, but the Fit app only shows data that sits inside an activity session. Putting each run inside one is what makes it appear as a walk rather than as loose numbers.
Activity type picks whether Fit calls it a walk or a run. It changes the label, not the data.
The name in Google Fit
Name in Google Fit is what each run is called in the Fit app. It is picked once when the run starts and stays put until the run ends.
The box only appears when you are wrapping runs in a session, because there is nothing to name otherwise.
Words in braces
Words in braces fill themselves in when a run starts. You can use the day, the short day, the month, the short month, the date, the start time, the run number on that Google account, the session label, whether it is walking or running, and random characters.
Click a word to drop it in where your cursor is. The line under the box shows what the next run will be called.
