How runs start and stop

The four modes, how long a run lasts, and what Run now and Stop actually do.

The four modes

Manual only runs when you press Run now. Continuous keeps going until you press Stop. Scheduled runs once at each time you set. Repeating runs every so often on the days you pick.

The scheduler is always awake, so pick Manual for a session you want to stay quiet.

Run length

Run length is how many minutes one run covers. Continuous ignores it, because that mode carries on until you stop it.

A run that is still going when the next start comes around is replaced by the new one.

Run now and Stop

Run now starts a run straight away, whatever the mode. If a run is already going, Run now stops it and starts a fresh one.

Stop pauses the run without changing the mode, so a scheduled session picks up again at its next start time.
